“Thank you for getting me know to my family!”

We are proud to recognize Ms. Annie Lashbaugh also known as “Colleen” as this month’s Allegany Achiever. Ms. Colleen came to Allegany Health Nursing and Rehabilitation on May 9th, 2024, following a short hospital stay from a fall at home that left her with thoracic compression fractures. Colleen faced multiple challenges including weakness, decreased ability in function and mobility. She relied on the facility staff for assistance with all daily activities due to her weakened condition and balance issues. Ms. Lashbaugh’s complicated medical condition extended her rehabilitation journey.

Colleen has recently showed much improvement overall resulting in Physical and Occupational Therapy revising her treatment plan. The dedicated therapy team at Allegany Health created a personalized treatment plan to address her weaknesses, improve her balance, and provide strategies to enhance her independence with daily tasks.
Colleen’s diligent efforts have paid off!! Colleen has successfully regained her strength and balance, now she is able to walk long distances with very little assistance, managing transfers and daily tasks with very little help. Colleen is planning on going to her daughter’s home in Minnesota at the end of this month!!! Way to go Colleen we are so proud of you and all your accomplishments!!!
