Keep up the good work, Ms. Metz!

The Reliant Rehab team at Allegany Health Nursing and Rehab would like to recognize and celebrate Ms. Metz for being this month’s Allegany Achiever. Linda was admitted to Allegany Health following a recent hospital stay after experiencing a fall at home resulting in a left hip fracture. Upon admission, Linda demonstrated struggles with transferring and had difficulty completing her activities of daily living due to pain and discomfort with her left leg and poor endurance. She was unable to walk at this time. Linda required some significant help from staff with her activities of daily living.

The therapy team and Ms. Metz worked together to tailor a plan of care specific to meet her goals and needs to help her return home with her daughter as quickly and safely as possible. After working with our team of Occupational and Physical therapists, Ms. Metz is now able to complete majority of her daily activity tasks with very little assistance and is now walking long distances with a wheeled walker. Ms. Metz is looking forward to returning home soon
